PROCESS

Each mat is coiled and stitched entirely by hand using dried sikki grass, dyed in cheerful pink and orange-yellow hues. The dynamic border is created by layering fine strands of colored grass in a repeating triangular pattern. No two mats are exactly alike - each one carries the marks of the artisan’s hand and the gentle irregularities of a truly handmade object.
