PROVENANCE

Named after my mother, Rupam - which means “beauty” in Sanskrit - is a heartfelt tribute to maternal love and nurturing presence. The floral motif reflects India’s enduring tradition of nature-inspired block prints, while the palette of soft blue and green carries symbolic depth: blue, a color of serenity and wisdom; green, a symbol of growth and renewal. Together, they echo the comfort, grounding, and gentle strength found in a mother’s embrace.

PROCESS

Each Rupam pillow cover is handcrafted by skilled artisans in India using the centuries-old technique of hand block printing. Wooden blocks are carved with precision and dipped in dyes before being pressed onto the linen fabric, creating layers of depth and charm. Subtle variations in print and color are natural hallmarks of this handmade craft, making each piece truly one of a kind.
