Our Story
The Parijat Tree started as a deeply personal journey. After more than a decade in the fast-paced worlds of technology and Human Resources, I found myself longing for something more meaningful and soulful. Around this same time, I was redecorating my home and searching for decor that would reflect my heritage while blending seamlessly with modern aesthetics. To my surprise, my search yielded very few options.
That’s when an idea sparked: What if I could create the pieces I had been searching for?
In that moment, I knew I had found my calling.
With no clear roadmap but a strong sense of purpose, I decided to leave my corporate career behind and embark on this new journey. I immersed myself in researching heritage crafts, art forms, and the artisans who keep these traditions alive. I reached out to craftspeople across different regions, hoping to find those who shared my vision and were willing to collaborate. After months of searching, I connected with artisans who were open to working together, and that’s when the real work began - creating designs, selecting fabrics, curating colors, and choosing the craft forms that would bring these visions to life.
After eight months of dedication, research, and countless iterations, The Parijat Tree officially launched in October 2024. The journey so far has been nothing short of exhilarating, and I can’t wait to see where it leads next!

Why The Parijat Tree?
The Parijat tree, cherished in Indian mythology, is known for its delicate blossoms that bloom at night and fall by dawn. These fragrant flowers, with their vivid orange stems and soft white petals, symbolize beauty, resilience, and the fleeting nature of time.
Some of my fondest childhood memories are of waking up early each morning to gather the Parijat flowers that had fallen during the night. Their sweet fragrance filled the air as I held them in my hands, often crushing a few to release their vibrant orange hues. I would bring them to my mother, who floated them in a bowl of water, filling our home with their soft, lingering scent.
As I grew older, the Parijat tree remained a quiet but powerful presence in my life. It became a symbol of tradition, of nature’s gentle rhythms, and of the simple moments of beauty that remind us to slow down and appreciate the world around us.
When I decided to pursue this creative journey, I wanted to carry that same sense of wonder and calm into everything I created. The Parijat Tree is my tribute to those cherished moments - a celebration of beauty, heritage, and mindful living.
